SingStar’s release slate represents the franchise’s busiest ever 12 months and includes upcoming PS2 SKU SingStar Pop Hits and the new SingStar for PS3, due in April and June respectively.
“The launch schedule for SingStar is more jam-packed than ever, with at least six titles pencilled in for release across PS2 and PS3 over the next 12 months,” SingStar product manager Lucy Garnett told MCV.
“Social gaming titles like SingStar, EyeToy and Buzz have been a big factor in taking PS2 to new audiences. We’ll continue to broaden PS2’s audience this year, using these brands at the forefront of our marketing plans and communication.
“Moving forward, our focus will be on developing the SingStar brand as a multi-platform IP rather than concentrating on specific releases.”
