The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has been enjoying many accolades since its launch a few weeks ago, but none as coveted as a perfect score from Famitsu.
The Japanese publication gave Skyrim a 40/40 score, which has so far never been bestowed upon a Western game. Other wildly successful games including pretty much anything from Rockstar Games or with Call of Duty in the title have received 39/40 scores, but that elusive 40th point hasn't been doled out for any Western titles until now.
Scoring at Famitsu is handled by four individual reviewers giving the game a score out of 10 and the total being the game's final score.
