Some Nintendo fans can buy the New 3DS right now… for £179.99

It hasn’t yet got a release date in the UK, but the New 3DS is available to buy for some punters in the UK right now.

Nintendo Life reports that some Club Nintendo members in the UK are being emailed with the chance to buy what is being called a special Ambassador Edition of the New 3DS.

Doing so will set them back a not at all inconsiderable 179.99, however.

The bundle includes the white console (which in Nintendo’s email is priced at 155.99) as well as both Ambassador and Super Smash Bros front and back cover plates, an additional stylus, a set of AR cards, white charging cradle and a 4GB Micro SD card.

Not included is a charger, however. Orders placed today will dispatch this week.

There’s not yet any sign of the New 3DS XL being offered for sale, although importing the unit from Australia – which shares a region code with Europe – also remains an option.
