Sony cuts Tablet S prices

Electronics giant Sony has shaved $100 from the price of its iPad-rivalling Tablet S in the US.

The 32GB model has been cut from $600 to $500 while the entry-level 16GB SKU has seen its price slashed from $500 to $400.

The Android powered device hoped to compete with higher-profile rivals via its PlayStation certification. It is the first tablet computer to allow users to download a number of emulated PSone titles. Owners can also connect with a DualShock 3 for a more authentic gaming experience.

The first PlayStation certified device to hit the market was Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Play.
