Two men accused of launching DDOS attacks on a number of corporate entities have pleased guilty at a British court.
19-year-old Ryan Cleary and 18-year-old Jake Davis admitted to being members of hacking group Lulzsec and, amongst other deeds, taking down Sony’s website.
Cleary was first arrested last year but was released on bail on the condition that he stayed off the internet. He didn’t, and was subsequently jailed.
The pair pleaded guilty to two counts of “conspiracy to do an unauthorised act or acts with intent to impair, or with recklessness as to impairing, the operation of a computer or computers”.
Both, however, have denied any involvement in the infamous PlayStation Network attack that saw Sony lose key customer data.
Davis, along with two other defendants, have been released on bail until the trial date of April 2013. Cleary remains in custody.
