Sony hopes to be "closer to full PS4 supply" by early summer

PS4 may not be freely available in all current regions until this summer.

We’re struggling to keep up with demand,” PlayStation boss Andrew House told The Wall Street Journal. Conservatively, as we get into the early summer months, we’ll be closer to a full supply situation.”

Demand is said to be highest in the US and Europe.

The most recent PS4 global sales data, released earlier this month – said the machine had sifted 6m units. Microsoft’s most recent update at the end of January confirmed that 3.9m Xbox Ones had been shipped to retail.

Xbox One will be released in an additional 26 territories this September.
