Spec Ops: The Line due June 29th

Shooter Spec Ops: The Line will hit UK shelves in June with a host of pre-order bonuses, 2K Games has announced.

The Xbox 360, PS3 and PC game will arrive on June 26th in North America and on June 29th in the UK.

Consumers who pre-order the title will receive a ‘Fubar’ pack which contains extra in-game accessories and an AK-47 and Officer Class that can be unlocked at multiplayer rank one. Early buyers will also receive twice the amount of experience points during the first week of play.

Spec Ops: The Line – developed by Yager – is a third-person shooter that features a squad-based and class-based multiplayer mode set in Dubai.

“Spec Ops: The Line is 2K Games’ first foray into the military shooter genre,” said 2K Games president Christoph Hartmann.
“We’ve created a unique game that explores the dark realities of war and places players in difficult situations, where the line between right and wrong becomes increasingly blurred as players fight to survive.”

Denby Grace, senior producer at 2K Games, added: “People who pre-order the game are going to have an immediate advantage in the multiplayer mode.”
