Star Citizen dev snaps up Diablo III lead game producer

Blizzard lead game producer Alex Mayberry has joined Star Citizen developer Cloud Imperium as executive producer.

Mayberry will oversee all product development for the crowdfunded space sim and will manage development across its studios around the world.He will report directly to Cloud Imperium Games CEO and co-founder Chris Roberts.

After ten years at Blizzard, I didn’t think that there was anything that could ever get me to leave,” said Mayberry.But then Chris invited me to come check out Star Citizen, and after seeing the game and listening to Chris talk about his vision, I knew that I had to be a part of it.
