Eagle-eyed gamers have spotted the arrival of advertisements for genuine, real in today’s world products in Square Enix’s seminal action title Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
Joystiq reports that the game’s loading screen will now from time-to-time carry a tiny banner advertising the release of the Star Wars Trilogy on Blu-ray.
In fact, many of the title’s in-game billboards have the capacity for dynamic ads to be uploaded, though so far these don’t seem to have been utilised.
Yesterday MCV reported that the new Advertising and Video Games report by research firm DFC Intelligence predicts that the in-game advertising market will reach $7.2bn globally by 2016.
