Star Wars stays on top

by Ben Parfitt

Star Wars fever shows no sign of easing this week as Revenge of the Sith and Lego Star Wars hold onto the number one and two positions in the UK all-formats chart.

LucasArts’ title has now occupied the top spot in the official ChartTrack listings for four consecutive weeks, cashing in on the success of the latest Star Wars film in cinemas.

Meanwhile, Midway’s Areas 51 saw a jump in sales this week, moving it up from eighth to third in the chart.

Despite the season coming to an end, football titles are once again very prominent in the top ten.

Championship Manager 5 on PS2, Xbox and PC holds firm at number four whilst FIFA Street and Pro Evolution Soccer 4 both gain places in the chart at numbers five and six respectively.

Racing title Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition falls from fifth spot to seventh whilst Microsoft’s Forza Motorsport is just behind in eighth, dropping one place.

Ubisoft’s Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory re-enters the top ten at number nine whilst THQ’s Xbox exclusive grappler Wrestlemania 21 falls from third to tenth spot.
