Sumo Digital opens new Nottingham studio

Crackdown and Forza developer Sumo Digital is opening a new studio in Nottingham.

The new outfit will hold 50 staff and will be opened in March 2016. It joins Sumo’s other offices in Sheffield and India.

Sumo’s COO Paul Porter will head up the new Nottingham branch, alongside his responsibilties in Sheffield and India. Co-founder Darren Mills will take on the studio director role for the Sheffield office.

Porter said: With GameCity, the National Videogame Arcade, local universities and a number ofgamedevelopers, Nottingham has an established and growing game development community that we’re thrilled to join and contribute to.”
