Under the terms of the policy, it meant they got their 360 for free – and went on to tell others on the web, causing a flood of other gamers to snap up their free console.
Other items affected in the offer have included DVD, frozen foods and mobile phones. Tesco blamed the closing of the offer on a ‘small minority’ of customers exploiting it.
