Teversham up as Cassius leaves Xbox Europe

Teversham (pictured) assumes the role of EMEA director of marketing and platform with immediate effect, moving up from the position of product marketing director, and has overseen the launch of the original Xbox and Live in his time at Microsoft.

Cassius joined Xbox from Electronic Arts in 2001, and in addition to his regular duties, he played a key role in the establishment of the European standard PEGI ratings system.

“It has been an amazing four years for me at Xbox,” commented Cassius.  “I’ve overseen the launch of two consoles and one groundbreaking online gaming service, and helped build the Xbox brand from scratch to one of the most influential and valuable youth and entertainment brands in the region. I’m confident that Richard will continue to build on these successes, and I look forward to new challenges.”

“I’m very excited to be taking on this new challenge,” added Teversham.  “We’ve seen Xbox grow and grow over the years and we’ve just had an amazing launch of Xbox 360. It’s great to be taking on the challenge of growing Xbox 360 in Europe and continuing the momentum we’ve created with our launch.”
