The Sims 4: Get Together expansion delayed to December

Sims fans will have to wait an extra couple of weeks to party on down.

The second expansion pack for The Sims 4, Get Together, has been postponed until December 8th in the US, with a full worldwide launch promised by the end of the week – making a December 11th date in the UK very likely.

The add-on was previously slated for release in November, following a reveal in August at Gamescom.

Following the Get To Work pack, Get Together adds the new Winderburg environment, plus expanded partying elements including DJ and dancing abilities, as well as the chance to create a nightclub.

The gap in release is expected to be spent on adding ‘more polish and depth’ to Get Together, senior producer Lyndsay Pearson explained in a blog post.

"We think this time will allow us to make the experience even bigger, better and cooler," she said.

Pearson added that the expansion pack had been built upon feedback from the Sims community of players.

"We loved seeing your reactions to the news, and closely followed all of your comments and discussions,” she explained.

"Your enthusiasm and feedback inspired us to work even harder to make sure that this pack is everything it could be. So we’ve decided to take a littlemore time to work on the expansion pack."
