The Sims going back in time?

The Sims going back in time?

Expansion packs for The Sims have proved a highly lucrative business for publisher EA in the past, and a host of new URL registrations point to a possible new direction for the series in the future.

As spotted by Superannuation, the likes of simsmedieval.com and thesimsgetmedieval.com suggest that a future release in the series – be it an expansion or possibly even a standalone title – look to for the first time remove it from its present day setting.

EA has previously released a wide variety of additions to both The Sims 2 and The Sims 3, including the likes of University, Nightlife, Open for Business (shop keeping), Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage (holidays) and World Adventures.

The addition of a historical expansion would be a series’ first, but it’s easy to imagination the market appeal.
