THQ growth continues

Net sales for the fiscal year increased to $806.6 million from $756.7 million the year before, though profit fell from $62.8 million last year to $34.3 million.

“THQ posted record net sales in fiscal 2006, fuelled by our success with mass-market games based on our three core brands: Disney/Pixar, WWE and Nickelodeon, as well as the establishment of new franchises such as Juiced and Destroy All Humans,” stated president and CEO Brian Farrell.

Strong sales of titles such as The Outfit on Xbox 360 and WWE Smackdown vs. Raw helped offset the disappointing performance of Full Spectrum Warrior: Ten Hammers. THQ managed to gain market share in Europe, the US and Australia and managed to break the one million sales barrier with ten of its titles.
