THQ promotes new EVP

THQ has promoted Martin Good to executive vice president for its kids, family & casual games and global online services business units.

He will be oversee the delivery of online games across both units and will report to THQ’s president and CEO Brian Farrell.

Martin’s leadership and experience uniquely qualify him to lead our kids, family, casual games business unit, while continuing his role in driving our online operations,” said Farrell.

Good has worked at THQ for ten years, most recently as SVP of THQ Asia Pacific and global online publishing, during which he helped establish the firm’s operations in Korea, China, Japan and Australia. He was also responsible for overseeing the publisher’s entry into the MMO market in key Asian territories.

I am very excited to lead the THQ kids, family, casual games business unit,” said Good. This is a vibrant product category and I am excited about our robust pipeline and partnerships. In addition, I look forward to leveraging my Asia online gaming experience to run the operations for online games across the company.”

THQ also announced a number of other personnel changes. Steve Dauterman has moved to the role of senior vice president for core games product development, while Rodney Block has been named MD of THQ Asia Pacific.
