THQ signs Left 4 Dead developer

Californian developer Turtle Rock is working on a new multiplayer FPS which will be published by THQ.

The studio – which previously co-developed Left 4 Dead with Valve Software – has signed a new contract with THQ.

"Our quest to sign the best artists and work with the best talent continues," said THQ exec Danny Bilson.

It's the latest move from THQ in its ongoing search for top talent. The publisher is working with film director Guillermo del Toro on horror game InSane, and hired Ubisoft's former Assassin's Creed creative director Patrice Désilets last year.
