An intellectual property lawyer, Rajendra has a specialism in IP relating to interactive entertainment and its technologies, and works with multiple gaming clients to advise on all types of gaming IP issues.
Her video games history education particularly arose as a result of one particular infringement case, where she was acting for a console-maker.
Rajendra says that she finds gaming clients a lot of fun to work with, largely due to their dynamism, innovation and the crucial role of IP to their business.
The general enthusiasm of games firms continues to excite her – as does the prospect of more complex legal IP issues as games rise above other entertainment industries.
Having joined Rouse 18 years ago, Rajendra has seen the company grow from 25 people to more than 650 – an evolution that, alongside her work, fills her with pride.
In the future, Rajendra is looking to support more VR companies with their IP needs.
She explains: Gaming and VR is a really exciting marriage of two old mates, and I want to be there at the party.”
