Turtle Beach highest selling gaming headsets in 2011

QV Software has confirmed that in CY2011, Turtle Beach was the number 1 selling gaming headset brand in Australia.

According to NPD Group data, Turtle Beach raked in over AUD$12 million, making it the top selling product in the gaming audio category, beating out other 1st party peripherals for the title, during its first full calendar year in the Australian market.

Omar Braery, Markteting Manager at QVS, said: "These numbers are no accident. We have worked hard to make Turtle Beach the headset of choice and connect with the local consumers who recognise the high quality of the product, and we will continue to build on this."

Andrew Milgate of NPD Group, added: "The Gaming Audio genre saw substantial growth in 2011, with the strong performance of Turtle Beach being a key driver of that increase."

Turtle Beach also took 3rd place in the general gaming peripheral category, falling short only to the 1st party manufacturers. Turtle Beach made a mark by releasing a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 branded and optimised headset this year, and in 2012 is looking to move into peripherals for mobile gamers.
