Twitch bans all Adults Only-rated games

Streaming network Twitch has announced it no longer allows games carrying ESRB’s Adults Only rating to be streamed on its service.

"Simply put, AO games are not welcome on Twitch," the company wrote on its official blog.

"Previously, we made game-specific decisions about which games would and would not be available for broadcast — sometimes due to overtly sexual content, sometimes due to gratuitous violence. This is unsustainable and unclear, generating only further confusion among Twitch broadcasters. We would like to make this policy as transparent as possible."

[The updates to our rules and conduct are] to create a safe, welcoming, inclusive community platform where everyone can feel comfortable and have fun."

Twitch specifically mentioned a trio of games that as of now are banned from the platform in Manhunt 2, Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy: Director’s Cut and Hatred.
