Twitch gets higher broadcast resolution on Xbox One than PS4

Video streaming via Twitch on Xbox One has been found to be of better quality than on PS4.

Videogamer reports that a recent broadcast from Microsoft’s Larry ‘Major Nelson’ Hryb on Twitch via Xbox One was streaming at a resolution of 1280x720 at 30 frames per second.

By comparison, PS4’s Twitch broadcasting outputs at 960x540 at 30fps. Twitch on Xbox One also offers broadcast archives.

Twitch will arrive on Xbox One will arrive alongside Titanfall on March 11th and has been described by Twitch CEO and co-founder Emmett Shear as a “complete integration”.

Twitch streaming was a launch feature on PS4 but has until now been delayed on Xbox One.
