Twitter appoints Rodrigo Velloso to new director of game partnerships role

Google’s former director of gaming content for YouTube Rodrigo Velloso has joined Twitter in a similar capacity.

In the newly created director of game partnerships role, Velloso will build relationships with developers, video content creators, eSports athletes, and public shoes such as E3. He toldVarietythe work is a continuation of his efforts at Google, focusing on content partnerships.

"I want to work with content creators and give them the tools, or in some cases build them the tools, to allow them to produce the best content," Velloso said – using Twitter’s support of The Game Awards earlier this month as one example.

Velloso began working at Twitter in September, reporting to the company’s head of North American Media Kristine Stewart.
