The exclusive three-year deal to serve the independent sector through Trilogyi is effective from July 2nd. Ubisoft has also extended its existing primary distribution deal with Trilogy Logistics for another three years.
The agreement means that Ubisoft will cut ties with long-time distribution partner Pinnacle, after MCV first hinted at the move at the start of June.
“We received strong tenders from the key players in the market, but Trilogy has once again proven that they are the right partner for Ubisoft,” said the publisher’s UK commercial manager Chris Marcus.
“The launch of Trilogyi allows us to achieve our aim of consolidating our business with one trusted partner, allowing our sales and operations teams to further concentrate their efforts on the significant growth expectations we have for the coming years.”
Trading director at Trilogy Paul Oughton added: “We’re extremely pleased that Ubisoft shares our vision for Trilogyi. The signing of this contract is the culmination of an 18 month project that sees our service portfolio extended to offer a complete solution. We’re delighted to continue working with such a prestigious brand.”
