UK CHARTS: Call of Duty stands its ground

Activision Blizzard’s Call of Duty: World at War has taken the number one position in the ChartTrack Top 40 for the third week in a row – despite sales dropping by 30 per cent.

The game was raced all the way by EA’s Need For Speed: Undercover, which moved from fourth to second place with a 35 per cent jump in sales. EA’s other big Q4 release, FIFA ’09, makes way for the racer, dropping from second to third position.

It’s been a good week for Eidos too, with Tomb Raider: Underworld rising from ninth to seventh spot, with a 12 per cent increase in units sold.

The surprises, however, continue this week as the newly released Sonic Unleashed failed to make it into the Top 40.

In fact the only new entries in this week’s charts is Sony’s Resistance 2 in tenth place and Warner Bros’ Guinness Book of Records: The Video Game in 29th.

5.Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training
