It’s nine weeks and counting at the top of the ELSPA GfK-ChartTrack All Formats Top 40 this week as Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 continues its remarkable run at number one.

New entries from both Sega and THQ were unable to challenge MW2’s dominance, with Bayonetta debuting in fifth spot and Darksiders entering the listings at number eight.

Nintendo’s Wii Fit Plus continues to lurk ominously in second spot, with Ubisoft’s successful Just Dance behind it in third and Wii Sports Resort spending yet another week at number four.

Elsewhere in the listings The Beatles: Rock Band re-enters the top 40 having dropped out on more than one occasion in recent weeks, claiming 31st. There are also re-entries for EA’s Monopoly (37th) and Ubisoft’s Your Shape (38th).
