Sony has confirmed the UK price for the PlayStation Vita, which last night was given a European and American release date of February 22nd.
The entry-level wi-fi only model will retail for £229.99. The higher-spec 3G SKU will cost £279.99.
There are no details yet of what deals will be available with telcoms operators for access to mobile data with the latter model.
At both E3 and Gamescom this year Sony promoted a raft of games for the device such as a new Uncharted game, a new version of LittleBigPlanet and many others. The firm says that well over 100 games are in production at its own studios and those owned by third-party publishers.
Software pricing has not yet been confirmed, though the Japanese pricing suggests that boxed games will retail for around the same price as PS3 titles.
