Uncharted 2 takes 10 AIAS awards

Californian studio Naughty Dog was jubilant last night after winning a spectacular ten awards at this year’s Annual Interactive Achievement Awards.

The developers of the widely adored PS3 exclusive Uncharted 2 won the award for Game of the Year and Adventure Game of the Year, as well as Outstanding Achievement awards in Game Direction, Art Direction, Animation, Visual Engineering, Game Play Engineering, Sound Design and Story.

The ten prizes add to Naughty Dog’s surfeit of awards for its action adventure title, cementing the studio as one of Sony’s most important development partners.

Meanwhile, Rocksteady Games represented the best of the British with its acclaimed action title Batman: Arkham Asylum.

The London-based studio took three awards for Outstanding Achievement in Game Design, Story, and Outstanding Character Performance for the Joker.

The other standout winner was Scribblenauts developer 5th Cell, which swept the board in the mobile category, picking up awards for Portable Game of the Year, Outstanding Innovation in Gaming, and Outstanding Achievement in Portable Game Design.

Infinity Ward picked up two prizes.
