In June ’08 alone the Wii sold over 666,000 units in the region.
"Wii was created with the goal of expanding the gaming universe through its intuitive motion-sensing controller," Nintendo of America's executive vice president of sales and marketing and E3 favourite Cammie Dunaway stated.
"As we have demonstrated this week during the E3 Media & Business Summit, Wii continues to pioneer new ways for people to interact with their video games and with one another."
However, the Wii is still someway behind its little brother the DS, which in June sold 783,000 units and now boasts total US sales of 20.8 million units.
