Half-Life 2 and Left 4 Dead developer Valve has slammed the slew of mini-game titles that have arrived a result of the motion-gaming revolution and urged developers to make more creative use of new technologies.

“Hopefully we've gotten past the point of mini-games,” Valve writer Chet Faliszek told CVG. “I'm sick of that [makes arm movement]. That's not a game for me anymore. Let's get some real interaction going.

“We have these technologies. Now that let us interact in different, really exciting ways. It is developers' jobs to do something with it. Impress me. Don't just make shitty games I wouldn't want to play if I had to use a joystick.”

However, Faliszek didn’t rule out the possibility of future implementation of Natal in its key IP such as Left 4 Dead.

“You won't have to make the arm movement of sawing off a zombie's head in some tiresome mini-game. I can promise you that. But we’ll see.”
