Virgin strikes exclusive EUK deal

It means that Woolworths-group owned EUK will assume control of the purchase of entertainment and associated products form June 1st, and will be taking responsibility for physical distribution to Virgin’s 127 retail stores no later than April 2008.

The news comes after EUK recently strengthened its portfolio with the acquisition of book distributor Bertrams, and continues to integrate fellow recent acquisition THE into its business.

“We are extremely excited to be working with Virgin Retail, one of the most vibrant names on the High Street,” said managing director of EUK Lloyd Wigglesworth. “We both believe that our combined strength will enable us to grow sales significantly and strengthen our long-term supplier relationships. Virgin will bring a high level of specialist knowledge to our existing trading expertise, making a very positive addition to our customer portfolio.”
