Watch Dogs strikes back to claim 4th UK No.1

Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs has ended a run of three weeks at No.2 to claim a fourth No.1 in the UKIE Gfk Chart-Track All Formats Top 40.

That’s despite an 18 per cent week-on-week sales drop, but with virtually no new titles on shelves there’s a familiar look to the listings.

Last week’s No.1 Sniper Elite 3 drops one place to second while retail promotions helped Wolfenstein: The New Order to a six per cent sales gain, climbing one place to fourth.

UFC drops out of the Top Ten, falling from 7th to 12th and 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil drops seven places – one for each goal champions Germany shipped past hosts Brazil in the semis, maybe – to 15th.

Going the other way Tomodachi Life jumping two spots to 9th while the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft overtakes the PS3 SKU.

Here’s the Top Ten for the week ending July 12th:
1. Watch Dogs (Ubisoft)
2. Sniper Elite 3 (505 Games)
3. FIFA 14 (EA)
4. Wolfenstein: The New Order (Bethesda)
5. Titanfall (EA)
6. Call of Duty: Ghosts (Activison)
7. Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition (Microsoft)
8. Minecraft: PS3 Edition (Sony)
9. Tomodachi Life (Nintendo)
10. Battlefield 4 (EA)
