Wii Music Miyamotos last idea

It could be the end of the road for new ideas on Wii: Nintendo President Satoru Iwata (pictured) has admitted that Wii Music is Shigeru Miyamoto’s last idea for the console.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Iwata also revealed that Nintendo is not likely to launch many more accessories for the format.

He added that WiiMotion Plus didn’t cost much to make” – and said that it would be very affordable” for the consumer.

Wii Music completes what Miyamoto wrote in his proposal when he came up with the idea for the Wii,” said Iwata. He was saying that he needs to think up more ideas now.”

He added: Most of the ideas for accessories that we had initially come up with are out now. We might think up some more, and we might make them if we do, but we don’t have any plans to release a whole lot more.”

When questioned about the suggested retail price for Wii Motion Plus, Iwata said:

We haven’t announced the price yet, but the cost of making the Wii Motion Plus is not that much, so I think we can make it very affordable.”
