“We are investigating,” Iwata told the foreign correspondents Club in Tokyo. “Some people are getting a lot more excited than we’d expected. We need to better communicate to people how to deal with Wii as a new form of entertainment.”
Despite extensive warnings within the games themselves, this could prove to be an unforseen problem for Nintendo’s new console, which launches in Europe tomorrow (08/12/06).
And following on from talk of beating financial targets earlier this week, Iwata went on to say: “I’m not ruling that out entirely, but it’s premature to say it now.”
