Games-focused Android tablet Wikipad has finally got itself a confirmed price and release date in the UK.
The device will arrive on UK shelves on September 27th and will retail for £249.99.
Its USP is the detachable controller housing that offers traditional console controls. It also boasts all the tablet features one might expect, such as a 7-inch multi-capacitive touchscreen, 16GB of internal memory, HMDI out, GPS, accelerometer and gyroscope as well as a 12 core Nvidia GPU.
It also supports PlayStation Mobile.
"This UK launch is a significant milestone for Wikipad, as it represents the growth of the Wikipad's fanbase beyond the US and outwards to the millions of gamers who love to play games on their mobiles but are looking for a better experience than other tablets can give them," Wikipad sales president Fraser Townley stated.
"Our retail partners in the UK are as excited as we are at the potential for Wikipad to offer a real alternative for consumers and gamers who want the power of a premium Android tablet combined with the superior experience of a dedicated gaming device."
