Windows 8 will integrate Xbox Live

You can already access Xbox Live on a Windows Phone 7 handsets, and from next year consumers will also be able to access the network on their PC.

Microsoft has confirmed that Xbox Live will be an integrated feature in Windows 8. This means XBL will be in-built into a user’s PC.

In keeping with Microsoft’s current content strategy, the service will be used to promote all manner of services including games, music, movies and TV shows.

Of course, as is the case with the deals the range of content available will vary on a region-by-region basis.
