World Cup tickets up for grabs in PlayStation 'Play for your Country' quiz

PlayStation is giving football fans the opportunity to score tickets to this year’s World Cup.

Sony has lifted the lid on its Play for your Country with PlayStation competition, which tests the minds of football fans with a multiple-choice quiz for the chance to win tickets to this year’s FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Running until May 25th, the contest is open to PS4, PS3 and Vita owners as well as PSN and PlayStation store users and prizes are up for grabs until the end of the final of the tournament on July 13th.

Players need only connect their new PlayStation device to advance to the multiple-choice quiz and answer their way to a host of prizes.

The top prize includes pair of tickets to the World Cup Final, complete with transport, accommodation and spending money.

Meanwhile, first runner-up and second runner-up prizes reward players with similar packages to the World Cup’s semi-finals and quarter-finals respectively.

As for third runner-ups, there are 22 pairs of tickets to the World Cup’s Round 16 match-ups up for grabs.

Finally, a plethora of additional prizes includes:

  • Five PS4 systems
  • 10 PS3 (500GB) systems
  • 10 PS Vita systems
  • 10 Wireless Stereo Headset 2.0s
  • 50 EA SPORTS 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil games for PS3
  • 500 12-month PlayStation Plus memberships
  • 1,000 3-month PlayStation Plus memberships
  • 10,000 1-month PlayStation Plus memberships

PlayStation is also the Presenting Partner of the FIFA Interactive World Cup, which has players from around the world compete against each other via PSN for the chance to represent their country.

One lucky winner will be crowned champion of the FIFA Interactive World Cup and flown out to the FIFA Ballon d’Or for a prestigious ceremony next year.
