Verizon has announced a new deal with Microsoft in the US that will see Xbox 360 offer a varied cable TV service as part of its US offering.

Customers of Verizon’s high-speed internet service FiOS can now sign up to the Xbox version. This will allow them to watch live cable TV content through their console.

26 channels will be available at launch

Xbox Live Gold membership is required. The service is fully Kinect compatible allowing users to control their channel surfing via voice and gestures.

New customers are also being offered a $89.99 per month deal that includes a free 12-month Xbox Live membership and a copy of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary.
