Microsoft’s long awaited E3 press briefing has just got underway, and the privilege of getting things under way has been given to Treyarch and its upcoming action title Call of Duty: Black Ops.
With studio head Mark Lamia fronting proceedings, the exec confirmed that Microsoft has secured limited-time exclusivity on all Call of Duty DLC until 2012.
The audience was then treated to never-before-seen footage of the game in action. So far we’ve seen a gloomy tunnel section and an action-packed jungle scene.
Things soon took to the sky with the player laying siege to the enemy via a chopper. The game certainly delivers on the series’ reputation for engrossing set-pieces and historical accuracy – albeit with a bit or artistic licence.
