Xbox One gets Japan release date

Xbox One will be available in Japan in September, according to Famitsu.

The Microsoft console will arrive on September 4th and the platform holder has confirmed a number of titles will be heading to the country, although whether they will be available at launch is another matter. Those games include Forza 5, Kinect Sports Rivals, Sunset Overdrive, Halo, Dead Rising 3, Ryse, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, Thief and Murdered: Soul Suspect.

Around 40 developers that have pledged support to Xbox in Japan includes Sega, Nippon Ichi, Ubisoft, Warner, Yukes, Zoo, Capcom, EA, Atlus, Arc System, Level-5, Marvelous, From Software, Bandai Namco, Tecmo Koei, Square Enix, Cave and Take-Two.

Xbox has struggled for traction in Japan since its debut in 2002, despite significant investment from Microsoft.
