You can now negotiate with sellers on Amazon

Amazon has added a ‘Make An Offer’ option to some items that allows potential buyers to haggle with sellers.

Reuters reports that the option is currently limited to 150,000 items in Amazon’s collectibles and fine art section on its US site. Users can submit an offers with sellers then able to agree, refuse or submit a counter offer.

Negotiations will take place privately, with sellers given 72 hours to respond.

Amazon’s Marketplace business currently accounts for about 40 per cent of its unit sales. It plans to roll out Make An Offer to hundreds of thousands” of additional items in 2015.
