Clothes, accessories and fitness apparel based on the Just Dance franchise are on their way to shops.

Publisher Ubisoft has signed up Copyright Promotions Licensing Group (CPLG) as its European licensing agency. The firm will handle Ubisoft’s casual range, including Just Dance, Rabbids and Imagine.

The casual-focused Imagine brand – which was a huge hit on Nintendo DS – is set to make a comeback with Imagine Town, a virtual world aimed at young girls.
CPLG hopes to establish Imagine as a lifestyle brand for a tween audience.

Meanwhile, Rabbids already has an extensive licensing program, with toys, a cartoon series and more. CPLG will look after these as well as try and grow the Rabbids brand further. Over 9m Rabbids games have been sold worldwide.

Ubisoft is known for creating some of the most rich entertainment properties in the video game industry,” said Ubisoft’s EMEA executive director Alain Corre.

It was imperative for us to find a top-notch partner who could bring dynamism and quality to a European merchandising program and we’re satisfied we’ve found that partner in CPLG.”
