The Pioneer Trail developer and Baltimore-based studio Zynga East has closed its doors.
As reported by Venturebeat, the social gaming outfit has also consolidated a number of studios in three other cities to streamline its operations.
The firm’s two Austin studios have now been merged, as have two studios in New York. CastleVille developer Zynga Dallas meanwhile, bought out by the social game giant in 2010, will now be joined by the Mckinney-based Texas branch.
As part of the closures and restructuring, 30 employees are expected to lose their jobs, roughly one per cent of Zynga’s total workforce.
