3D video recording coming to 3DS

Nintendo has announced that it is to add 3D video recording to its 3DS handheld console.

The feature will be added as part of an update to the machine being released at the end of November.

Users will be able to record up to 10 minutes of 3D video and also allow for the creation of 3D stop-motion animation videos. In addition, new puzzles and a new dungeon will be added to StreetPass.

There will also be extra content added to the company’s download service, including a number of unique 3D videos from partners such as Red Bull and Eurosport, as well as the already announced Shaun the Sheep short films from Aardman.

We are always striving to bring fun new experiences to our fans and these new features and functions for Nintendo 3DS do just that,” Nintendo Europe’s MD of marketing and PR Laurent Fischer stated.

We are also looking forward to the launch of some great titles over the next couple of months, such as Super Mario 3D Land on 18th November and Mario Kart 7 and Super Pokmon Rumble both on 2nd December.”
