Amazing 1,000,000 games collection sells on eBay

There are people who collect video games. Then there are people who COLLECT video games.

An eBay auction for 22 sets of complete hardware and software line-ups for a number of retro games systems has sold on eBay for a colossal $999,999.99.

And that doesn’t include the estimated €1,000 shipping charge.

For the money the buyer acquired a brand new” selection of goodies for a number of games systems including Nintendo’s Famicom, Famicon Disk, Virtual Boy, Super Famicom, Nintendo 64, DD64, GameCube (all factory sealed), Sega Master System (European and Japanese), Sega Mark 3, Game Gear, Mega Drive, 32X, Mega CD (factory sealed), Saturn and Dreamcast (factory sealed).

Add to the complete PC Engine Hucard (factory sealed), PC Engine Supergrafx (factory sealed), PC Engine (factory sealed), PC-FX (factory sealed) and Pioneer Laseractive.

Please keep in mind I had dozens of thousands of copies of those games in hands during the last 20 years, and I only kept, each time, the VERY BEST copies for my personal collection, so you can be certain you’d get the best condition possible,” the listing reads.

As an example, for the PC Engine factory sealed fullset, I got sometimes more than 50 copies for a precise title, and I kept the BEST one out of the 50 for myself. That gives you an idea of the mintiness [sic] of such collection. You get the best of the best.”
