Former Ignition GM at the helm of independent developer and publisher's first Asian office

B27 opens Tokyo studio

Balloon 27 is opening a new office in Japan, to be headed by Kaz Takeshita.

The new office will help the independent mobile developer and publisher inflate its presence in Asia and live up to its stated goal of being a worldwide company uniting people of all backgrounds through games.

“We welcome Kaz to the B27 family and are excited to announce the opening of B27 in Tokyo”, said B27 founder Ajay Chadha.

“Kaz has a rich heritage in the Japanese games market and we look forward to him growing B27 in the Asian Pacific region”.

Chada has a great deal of experience working with Takeshita, who was previously general manager at Ignition, a studio Chada co-founded.

While at Ignition Takeshita managed teams working on Dragon’s Crown and El Shaddai.

Before that he was GM for Acclaim’s Japan outfit, managing director of Sammy Europe, and SNK Europe’s sales and marketing boss.
