Online PC games portal to be streamlined

Changes afoot for Games For Windows Live

The Games For Windows Live Marketplace will be revamped next month.

As well as an aesthetic redesign, the service will be receiving a host of new features, including an Xbox Live-style Deal of the Week, pre-order incentives and more, according to Joystiq.

Microsoft group product manager Peter Orullian also told the site that his team will be constantly adding much-requested functions such as a ratings system, and that Xbox 360 owners will be able to spend their MS Points on the new GfW Live Marketplace.

“The store is really going to be a destination for games for PC gamers,” he said. “My focus [is to] evolve the store and help gamers find the games they really care about.”
