Microsoft has opened registration for the 2008 edition of its Dream Build Play XNA game competition, which this year only allows Xbox 360 games to be submitted.
The prize this time around isn’t an Xbox Live Arcade publishing deal – although with ‘one of the top ten finalists’ will indeed be awarded with one – but a share of a $75,000 cash pot. The overall winner grabs $40,000, with prizes of $20,000, $10,000 and $5,000 available to second, third and fourth place entries respectively.
Development for the Xbox 360 with XNA requires an XNA Creators Club Subscription, with a 12 month pass usually costing £65. However, in order to encourage entrants, all teams that register before the September 23rd submission deadline will receive a complementary 12 month subscription to the Creators Club.
