Enter the Gungeon hits 1m copies

Dodge Roll Games’ Enter the Gungeon has reached a new milestone.

The studio behind the roguelike title announced on Twitter (see below) that Enter the Gungeon has gone platinum” and sold over 1m copies.

Published by indie label Devolver Digital, Enter the Gungeon launched to critical praise back in April 2016 and generated $3m worldwide during its first week on sale, shifting over 200,000 copies. Back then, Dodge Roll Games said its debut title was surpassing their expectations.”

In January this year, Devolver Digital then revealed Enter the Gungeon had sold nearly 800,000 copies” since launch.

Initially a PS4 and PC title only, the indie hit then launched on Xbox One last April and is due on Nintendo Switch later this year.

Talking to MCV a few weeks ago, Devolver Digital discussed how streaming and selling games – including Enter the Gungeon – on Twitch worked as a great marketing tool.
