Force Unleashed II ditches PSP

LucasArts has confirmed to IGN that it has scrapped plans to release Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II on PSP this October.

A version for the Sony handheld was due to arrive alongside the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, DS, PC and iPhone version on October 29th in the UK (and October 26th in the US).

The publisher has declined to specify exactly why the PSP version has been canned.

The game is a sequel to the 7m+ selling original, which is regarded by many as one of the strongest Star Wars games releases of recent times.

A Collector’s Edition version of the game, which includes amongst other things a 2GB USB flash drive, is due out on the same day.
